Covenant Partners
The Association of Partners in Christian Education (APCE) is an association made up of those who are serving or have served in educational ministries, as ministers, professional or volunteer educators, or students, in the Presbyterian Church in Canada, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the Reformed Church in America, and the Moravian Church in America. Get to know our Covenant Partners:
The Presbyterian Church in Canada
Relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, The PCC proclaims the love and good news of Jesus Christ through their words and actions. As a Reformed church, they rely on the truth and inspiration of Scriptures for God’s guidance into the future—a future that they approach with wonder and anticipation, knowing God is with us. As worshipping communities joyfully celebrating the sacraments, they are supported, strengthened and equipped to share the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.
Congregation and Community Ministries of The Presbyterian Church in Canada: Congregation and Community Ministries works with congregations and presbyteries to support and equip congregations for faithful and vibrant ministry in the world to which Christ came for which he died.
Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
Our covenant relationship is with the Office of Christian Formation. The Office of Christian Formation in Presbyterian Life & Witness (an agency of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.) has partnered with five associations to support age and stage formation across a lifetime of Christian formation.
APCE is proud to be a part of the Christian Formation Collective with:
- Presbyterian Older Adult Ministry Network (POAMN),
- UKirk Collegiate Ministries,
- Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association (PCCCA),
- Presbyterian Youth Workers’ Association (PYWA).
The Office of Christian Formation and APCE partner to support faith formation through new initiatives, training and support and equipping leaders for ministry. Find out about the partner organizations in the Christian Formation Collective and the
resources they offer by going to each of their websites.
In addition, APCE partners with the PC(USA) Office of Christian Formation on the Opening Doors to Discipleship Leadership Training Website. Most of these resources are free to download and include Quicksheets, short term studies, retreat modules, leadership materials, Special Emphasis Planning Calendar Day liturgies and program ideas. In addition, there are periodic coached cohorts and community circle zoom. Learn more at the Office of Christian Formation page. All resources are available at Formation Resources and Around the Table Resources.
